Some activities were organized to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day for the students in the Episcopal school

Josh, an American speechmaker, participated in organizing a series of talks about the English language for the baccalaureate students, from different topics about the subject he made his speech about pronunciation.
He explained facts about how speaking a certain language can change the way we pronounce words or letters. He made sure to catch people’s attention and make the speeches as interactive as possible, having some people answer questions and practice the pronunciation via zoom-call.
For younger students, more activities were prepared for the different grades. They prepared an “English day” to regain the week that was usually done in primary school. This year, though, Ruscus Patruscus was hired to perform some plays for the kids; the kids from P4 to P5 attended a play called “Let’s go to the farm” and older kids saw “It’s magic” and “The great circus-man” even though they were not Saint Patrick related, the plays were in English.
In addition, different age-appropriate videos related to St. Patrick’s Day were shown in primary school English classes. They also played kahoots and drew the popular character of the Leprechaun.
The celebration of this day is based on the motivation of the teachers. They want their students to be aware of what is happening in other countries and to learn and respect other cultures. They consider that knowing different cultures is very important for the development of the students.
